When Jesus Came...Christmas Concert

Our church had their annual Christmas concert this past Sunday and it was a double header. There was one service at 4pm and one again at 7pm. Katrina is in Praise Kids this year and absolutely loves it. It is for kids K-6th so it is extra special to be with the "big kids". She was super excited about the concerts, but also a little nervous since she had a solo. (Sidenote: When she first learned the song she sang in a sweet, 5-year old voice, but the more we listened to the track and practiced she became more "opera-like" in her singing since the lady was singing that way. I wasn't sure which voice she was going to use, but I didn't want to correct her too much to make her freak out on the stage and just freeze up. ) I didn't realize it but I was very nervous myself. When she got up to sing my heart pounded harder than I think it ever has for any nerve-wracking thing that I have done in the past. The measure of a mom??? We were so proud of her and she did great!!! Here is a little video of it for you to enjoy!

PS-- I love her little smile after she is all done and back in the choir. Priceless!

You do such a great job at blogging. I don't know how to make my pictures big. It's fun seeing all the events. The pictures at Bethlehem are fun. See you tonight for Christmas concert #3!

Hi there! Thanks for your input on my cuffs :)
I had to comment on Katrina's solo... that was so sweet! She is so brave to go up in front (if she ever becomes a home ec.'r she will have no problem with those oral presentations). J & I chuckled at her smile at the end. So cute!!!
