So every Fall we rake up over one million leaves. I am not exaggerating. I think we filled up 8 or more yard cans last year with our leaves. It is this time of year that we kick ourselves because when we bought the house 5 years ago, the seller offered to sell us his "yard vacuum" for $200 and we didn't do it. We really didn't have an extra $200 but we should have borrowed, begged or stole the money because it would have been so worth it. Michael, the seller, GAVE us so much with the house...dining table and chairs, fridge, washer and dryer, all the yard tools you could ever need, a crib, changing table, and the list goes on. Oh well...maybe we will find one on clearance this summer. Here are a few pics of our raking endeavors and the trees before they let go of all of their leaves. Oh and it was over 80 degrees last weekend so the girls wanted to rake in their swimsuits so they could go in the sprinklers after.
They have just started falling...look at all those leaves still on the tree.

A tree in the backyard. We have 7 big ones...we love the shade and privacy they give us in the spring/summer.

Playing in the leaves before they go in the sprinklers.

I've been raking everyday and this is what we wake up to each morning...a blanket of leaves. I'm trying to see it as part of my exercise. :) Just think if we had a big property or something.

I don't know whether to be jealous of all your beautiful trees or supper happy that i don't have to rake them all up. I love trees but they do make for a lot of work in the fall. Happy raking!! ( I'm sure it is awesome exercise)
