September Events

It is hard to believe that it is already nearing the end of September. We have had a busy month as we are adjusting to our new Fall schedule which includes: running group with school moms, Bible Study, AWANA, ice skating, soccer, Praise Kids, Journey (high school ministry), etc. Katrina is doing ice skating again this fall with the ISP program at our church. It is the home school group that Donelle is the leader of and she lets me in on the sweet deal: $25 for 8 sessions, which includes a little lesson each time. I passed on the news to a few school friends so there are four little girls from Katrina's school who go each Thursday afternoon and get so excited about it. Katrina and Hannah have already each had a turn riding the "zamboni". Katrina also started soccer. Before the first game she informed me that she loves to play the games in practice (shark and minnow, ouch, etc. ) but she doesn't like it when there is one ball, two teams and you try to score a goal. I told her, "sweetie, that is what soccer is." After the first game she said that this would probably be her last year in soccer, but after the second game, she scored two goals and now she loves it. I think she is starting to catch on a bit. We are coaching and having fun with it. Go Fireflies!

Ok, so it is hard to get action shots when you are both coaching...something I need to work on for at least one game.

I loved the comment about how Katrina likes to play soccer-just not the real game. That is so like a kid. Very funny. Love the pictures and being able to catch up on your busy life.
