New house...sorta

We just got our house painted in the beginning of July. Cha-ching! Leo was not about to try to scale the roof and paint the second story in his "spare time" so we hired some painters to do it. We usually try to do things ourselves when we can to save money, but not this time. Cha-ching...thanks to the extra help from the tax stimulus payment we were able to do it. I LOVE the new color of our home. We moved in to our home in November 2003 and I didn't really like the color back then, but it didn't bother us enough to spend the money to paint it. Well, now that it is painted, I realized how bad it was. It was kind of a peachy tan with bone colored trim and a teal door and railing in the front. Now it is tan with bone trim and coffee colored gutters with a "bravado" colored door. I love it! The door is a fun color for so many holidays: Valentine's, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas come to mind. I looked through some of our pictures, but I couldn't find one of our old house color. I guess I just take pictures of the girls in front of the big hydrangea bushes usually. I will attach a few of the new color plus some of the kids playing in the sprinklers when their cousins were here. They wanted to wear goggles so that the water didn't go in their eyes. Was I that strange when I was little? Probably!

You can't see much of the house in the spring/summer since we have a HUGE tree, but we love the shade it gives us. That is what our tent trailer looks like parked in front.
