So unfortunately Leyna woke up screaming last night...which is not normal for my good sleeper. I went into her room and saw her sitting up, covered in vomit. YUCK! She was still puking and crying/screaming because her hands were "dirty". Sidenote: this has to be one of my least favorite parts of mothering. I just don't like vomit. It brought back memories of when she had just turned two in June and got sick every 5 - 45 minutes all night long. We ran out of sheets and towels to recover her bed with. That bout of vomiting ended in a two day stay at the nurses' station on an IV followed by a two night stay in the hospital because of severe dehydration. Those are not my favorite memories either. So after the first time getting sick last night and then the second, I prayed that we were not going to have a repeat of last summer. Thankfully, she seems to be fine today. YAY! I am finally finished with the "sick" laundry and washed all of the cups and sippy cups in the house, which is a good feeling. I have sick buckets by each girls' bed...just in case...but I am praying that they will not need them. Little sicknesses like this make me so thankful for my girls' health. Praise God!

Puke Clean-up is Not Fun

There was one time that I yelled for my dad in the middle of the night because I wanted to know what had just come out of my mouth and gone all over my bed and wall. When he saw me, he made a noise I've never heard before. Oh, and he thinks it was a bad Costco hot dog. Glad Leyna feels better this morning...
Good thing she's so cute! I'm with you on the puke thing. It's been a while for us, and I'm so thankful. Two year olds don't give much warning, then don't care to use the bucket you give them... I'm sorry for you!
OH Kim...no fun! I remember the first time Stella threw up she said "mom what IS that stuff coming out of my mouth?" That was funny...not the cleaning chunks of puke out of her hair part though, that wasn't funny. We haven't had a puke episode in a long time. I hate to say that, not that I'm superstitious, but I just really could do without it ever happening again!!!
I'm so sorry that you have sickness in your house again. (Though by this time I hope it has left) I have to agree with you and say that I would rather deal with any thing else besides puke. This morning I was cleaning up doggie puke and almost lost it myself.
