Potty Training, Day 1, Attempt 1

Well, I'm not sure I should admit it until we have some more success, but I started potty training Leyna today. I potty trained Katrina when she was 20 months old so I figured I better get on it since Leyna will be 2 on June 9th. (Donelle Robert is my big encourager/motivator for this.) I was waiting for tax season to be over and then to be done with quarterlies and then once our party was over and now I just need to do it. I potty trained Katrina in May, too, so I think May is a good month for us. Just think of all of the money we will save on diapers...that is one of my big motivations right now. We had a fun day full of salty snacks and as much juice, water and milk I could get her to drink. The three of us did the potty dance and ate M&Ms more times than we can count. Katrina thinks it is great that Leyna is wearing "big girls" now; although, she ran around the backyard most of the day in just a shirt. I love little kid cheeks! :) She did awesome for the first day, but we have a ways until she is considered potty trained. I will keep you posted.
